Precision: with no breathing tube distorting your mouth, Dr. Hansen can sit you upright during surgery to check that both sides are even, which is impossible under general. Recovery: general anesthesia affects the blood physiologically, which can raise blood pressure and, in turn, increase bleeding, leaving weeks of bruising and the need for drains; under local there are no drains and minimal bruising.

Patients range from their mid‑forties to their eighties. Most are bothered by jowls, a softening jawline, or a crepey neck that fillers and non‑invasive treatments no longer help. Because the procedure avoids general anesthesia, many patients with heart conditions or other health histories can still qualify with clearance from their own physician.
